About Chaplin

Meet Chaplin, the silent film star with a big heart. This resilient and affectionate boy has a remarkable story of survival and love. Found in Hamtramck with a facial wound, Chaplin showcased his charming personality by approaching strangers and giving gentle head butts, a clear plea for help. Named after the legendary Charlie Chaplin, he embodies humor and unexpected charm, always bringing a smile. Since joining our care, Chaplin has revealed his deeply loving nature. He thrives on human connection and enjoys being close to people, soaking in affection and leaning into every bit of care he receives. He knows that indoor life and companionship are where he truly belongs. Chaplin is FIV positive, but don’t let that label mislead you; many FIV-positive cats live long, happy lives. His ideal home would be one where he is the center of attention, as we’re still discovering how he feels about other animals. A slow introduction to other cats is recommended, but his affection for people is clear. If you’re seeking a cat full of heart, humor, and resilience, Chaplin is ready for his next chapter—a loving home where he can be adored. This could be the start of something paw-some. Chaplin is currently at our PetSmart location on Woodward. Interested in meeting him? Send a message or email adopt@ahsem.org.
