About Blaze

Meet Blaze, a two-month-old Lab/Chihuahua mix tipping the scales at about 10 pounds. This shy yet sweet puppy is just starting his journey. He arrived through our My Last Litter program, which aims to reduce pet overpopulation by spaying mother dogs and finding loving homes for their puppies. With a Lab mix mom and a dad believed to be a smaller breed, possibly a Chihuahua, Blaze and his siblings embody a delightful mix of characteristics and temperaments. Blaze has those shorter legs that are characteristic of his breed and possesses a gentle, reserved personality. While he may be on the shy side, with some patience and kindness, he can gain the confidence he needs to flourish as a companion. Continuous socialization and training will be essential as he grows. Positive early interactions with new people, environments, sounds, and other animals will help him develop into a well-rounded adult. Blaze is seeking a patient, loving home that understands puppy development and is prepared to support him as he grows at his own pace. He’s ready to bond, and with a little nurturing, he'll blossom into a fantastic friend. If you’re interested in adopting, Blaze will be available at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center on June 5, 2026. Don’t miss out on meeting him; start the adoption process today!
