About Penny

Meet Penny, an adorable 6-month-old Yorkiepoo who’s looking for her forever home. She came to us after her owner faced health challenges and could no longer care for her. Weights in at 8 lbs, Penny has a lovely curly coat in a warm red and chestnut color. Currently, she is still working on her potty training but is making good progress, using pads and going outside. There's some uncertainty about her crate training, so potential adopters should keep that in mind. Penny enjoys the company of other dogs, although she initially feels a bit nervous around larger breeds. While she gets along well with children, her playful and jumpy nature might be overwhelming for very young kids. We recommend a home with kids aged 8 and older. Penny is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and freshly groomed. She comes with an adoption fee of $300. If you're ready to welcome this bundle of joy into your life, reach out to Southern Indiana Animal Rescue.

Questions about Penny

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Penny, being a Yorkiepoo, is well-suited for apartment living or homes with limited outdoor space, as long as she gets enough playtime and walks outside.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Penny needs a small yard or nearby access to parks for her playtime, as she enjoys outdoor activities but doesn't require extensive space.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Penny is great with children but can be a bit too rambunctious for kids under 8, so a home with older children might be best.
