Meet Duncan! This 8-year-old, 13-pound chocolate and cream piebald Dachshund is ready to leave behind his tough past for a lifetime of love. Rescued along with 41 other Dachshunds from a home overcrowded with more than 60 dogs, Duncan remains one of the sweetest and happiest little companions you could encounter. He thrives on love, companionship, and snuggles. Duncan quickly makes friends with everyone—kids, adults, seniors, you name it. His ideal spot is right next to you, willingly following you from room to room. When it’s cuddle time, he will curl up on your lap or settle beside you, ensuring you're both comfy and cozy. This affectionate and easygoing miniature Dachshund loves being petted and enjoys toys and treats. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats. Playful when the mood strikes, Duncan is just as content lounging at home or taking leisurely walks. He’s great on a leash and enjoys exploring outside with his family. With a goofy personality, Duncan brings smiles wherever he goes. He’s happy being close but also knows when to relax, often sleeping in his crate. He’s crate trained, uses puppy pads well, and is making progress on his potty training. Duncan is drama-free, rarely barks, and shows no signs of resource guarding or behavioral issues. At last, after years among so many dogs, he’s ready to be a cherished family member, thriving in a home filled with love and affection.
