About Emerald
Meet Emerald, a gentle giant with a heart as big as her paws. This lovely Anatolian Shepherd mix is about a year old and has quickly won over everyone she meets with her sweet, easygoing nature. Emerald was found wandering in a corn field in the Yakima Valley, likely meant to be a livestock guardian but never given the chance. She’s now ready to find the loving home she deserves. Despite her size, she is remarkably mild-mannered and gentle, approaching the world with quiet curiosity. Emerald shows interest in cats without being overly intense and gets along well with other dogs. She has even been respectful around chickens. While she is currently kept outside where she was rescued, her intelligence suggests that she would quickly adapt to being housetrained if she isn’t already. Emerald would thrive in a calm environment where she receives stability and companionship. Her sweet personality shines through whether she’s relaxing by your side or exploring the yard. If you seek a loyal companion with a gentle soul, Emerald may be the perfect addition to your family. Increasingly, we are doing FOSTER TO ADOPT options, where you and Emerald can ensure you are a good fit before committing. Just ask your adoption counselor how this works.
