About Oso
Meet Oso! Oso is a charming 3-year-old Maltipoo who weighs just 7 pounds. This little guy has been through a lot, arriving from a local shelter in rough shape, severely matted, and requiring a trim that left him with a unique mohawk. Despite his challenging start, he is an incredibly affectionate and loving dog who thrives on companionship, often curling up in your lap whenever he can. In his foster home, he’s proven to be a wonderful houseguest. Oso is house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is a great sleeper at night. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, showing no food issues. He loves to be close to his people and quickly becomes a devoted little shadow. While Oso can be unsure of new people and unfamiliar situations—sometimes barking or growling when overwhelmed—he warms up quickly when given space to approach on his own terms. He readily accepts treats from strangers and shows his eagerness to learn. At adoption events, he initially barks at the new sights and sounds, but once he’s out mingling calmly, he demonstrates his intelligence and ability to adapt. Oso is not perfect, and that’s okay. He needs a family dedicated to boosting his confidence and guiding him through the world. A calm home without a constant flow of visitors would be ideal, or a family committed to his continued socialization and training. The reward will be a loyal, cuddly companion who wishes for nothing more than to be part of your everyday life. Oso is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and will receive his health certificate before adoption.
