About Penny
Penny is a delightful 9-month-old Doodle with a vibrant red and chestnut coat. She has a joyful spirit and brings plenty of energy to her new foster home. Penny is housebroken and crate trained; she settles down nicely at night. While she’s learning how to walk on a leash, she can be a little excitable, especially when spotting squirrels or bunnies. A fenced yard is ideal for her to play and burn off some energy safely. Penny gets along well with other dogs and has lived harmoniously with her Labrador retriever foster sister. She is also cat-friendly, having had positive interactions with cats so far. Around children, she shows great potential, particularly with those age 8 and up, provided they understand her need for a bit of time to adjust. Penny adores playing with balls and toys, and although she’s a bit of a puppy, she has a gentle side, often finding comfort beside her humans. She’s bright and eager to learn, picking up commands like “sit” and “off.” Penny is full of love, making her a wonderful companion. Because of her upcoming spay appointment, it's essential for adopters to live within an hour of Georgetown. If you can't accommodate this, please refrain from applying. She is ready to find a loving family that can give her the care she needs. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
