About Peanut
Meet Peanut, a one-year-old Weimaraner mix who goes by the affectionate nickname Little Boy. With his rich chocolate brown coat, soft floppy ears, and those stunning amber eyes, he has a charm all his own. Peanut is friendly with both dogs and humans, though he has a soft spot for cuddling with his favorite people. When it’s nap time on the couch, he’ll gaze at you with his big sad eyes until you join him, where he’ll snuggle in for a cozy snooze. This sweet boy is house trained and crate trained. He can comfortably relax in his crate for four to eight hours when left alone. Peanut enjoys the company of other dogs his size but prefers to play rough, so he might not be the best fit for all furry friends. While he’s generally good with older children, he can get a little too excited around younger ones, so supervision is key. Peanut has a sensitive stomach, thriving on low-ingredient food and treats. He looks forward to walks, although he does pull a bit, so a harness works best for him. In parks, it’s wise to keep a shorter leash handy since he may jump toward active kids or runners. Peanut enjoys a range of toys; squeaky ones without stuffing are his favorite, and he’s always up for a game of tug-of-war. At the end of the day, he usually calls it a night by 9 p.m. As a true character, Peanut has his quirks—he sleeps belly-up, chases after bubbles and butterflies, and sometimes even blows bubbles in his water bowl. He expresses affection in meaningful ways, whether it’s through a gentle sound or that endearing insistence that you sit with him on the couch. Peanut is flexible enough to travel a distance to his new home, possibly vocalizing a bit at first but settling down with some time. If Peanut could talk, he would simply ask for some quality couch time with you. He is ready to find a home that appreciates his calm and loving spirit. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
