About Banjo

Banjo is your ideal adventure buddy, combining a chill demeanor with a dash of playful energy. This 72-pound Akita mix is fully housebroken, crate trained, and a pro at using doggy doors. When out and about, he’s a crowd favorite, charming everyone he meets with his well-mannered personality. At about 5 years old, Banjo knows how to make an unforgettable entrance, with his tail wagging and a friendly attitude. He walks like a dream on a leash, obeys sit commands, and is an excellent car companion. Banjo thrives on daily walks and little adventures, yet he also thoroughly enjoys his couch time, perfecting the art of relaxation while keeping an eye on his home turf. Banjo prefers a selective social circle. He gets along with friendly dogs but tends to ignore others, especially when it comes to certain males. While he’s not a fan of cats or farm animals, he is indifferent to household birds. A bit protective of his yard, he's trained to stay focused on his person while out on walks, making him a wonderful companion for someone experienced with larger dogs. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back dog who enjoys car rides, yard strolls, and quiet evenings, Bandjo is your guy. He’s been patiently waiting for a family to recognize his worth. Banjo is located in Mississippi and will be transported north upon adoption finalization. Virtual meet-and-greets are available for approved adopters. The adoption fee is currently waived for the right fit. Apply to give Banjo the home he deserves!
