About Smokey

Meet Smokey! This charming 10-year-old Pomeranian weighs about 11 lbs and is currently out of state but will be transported to Hopkinton, MA shortly with no extra travel costs. He’s on the road to becoming house trained and is getting used to a crate and leash walking. Smokey is a retired breeding dog who takes his time to warm up to new people. In his foster home, he’s starting to show his personality. After settling in, he started wagging his tail and gets excited when his foster comes home. He’s okay with others touching him and has not shown any aggressive behavior. Smokey enjoys lounging beside his human on the couch or keeping an eye on them in the kitchen. Though he’s good with other dogs, he doesn’t engage in play and is more of a quiet companion. Smokey would thrive in a home with teens and other dogs, but he hasn’t been tested with cats. He’ll be available for adoption in N Dartmouth starting June 19. Click apply to start the adoption process.
