About Twinkie
Twinkie is a sensitive little chiweenie, weighing in at just 12 pounds and around 12 years old. This adorable Chihuahua-Dachshund mix approaches the world with caution but is gradually learning to embrace life. He was brought to us from a rural shelter, previously returned for being too shy. In his foster home, Twinkie’s true personality is emerging as he begins to build confidence at his own pace. His crate serves as his comfort zone, providing him with a safe space where he can relax. He thrives on steady routines and the presence of gentle, patient individuals who understand that trust takes time. With regular potty breaks, he’s making good progress with housetraining. Twinkie enjoys the company of other small dogs, especially calm and confident ones, who help him feel secure without overwhelming him. This little guy doesn’t need fixing; he simply needs someone who respects his journey and celebrates his small victories. With a loving, patient adopter, Twinkie will become a deeply loyal companion.
