About Ollie
Meet Ollie! Ollie is a playful 2-year-old who brings a vibrant spirit wherever he goes. This large guy has a knack for finding massive sticks and would chase balls until the sun goes down. Despite his size, he believes he’s a lap dog, happily curling up with you, especially in the recliner. Ollie is bright and food-motivated, making him easy to train. He knows commands like sit, down, rollover, and up, plus he’s house trained when on a schedule. Quirky doesn’t even start to describe him; he has a unique way of communicating with his “woo woo” sounds and has a peculiar fear of sneezes. Ollie also deals with some seasonal allergies, likely to grass, for which he currently takes Apoquel to alleviate skin irritation. He is best suited to a home where he can be the only pet, as he doesn’t get along well with other dogs or cats. Ollie thrives on having his humans’ full attention and loves to be the center of their universe. Over time, he has shown some resource guarding behaviors around items he values, like toys and resting spots. Because of this, a household without children and with an owner willing to work with him in a calm, structured manner would be ideal. Active individuals or couples who can provide Ollie with plenty of exercises and attention will uncover a loyal and affectionate companion who adds a dash of joy to their lives.
