About Gigi

Meet Gigi! A spirited one-and-a-half-year-old German Shepherd mix living in Amherst, MA, Gigi's a whirlwind of playful energy wrapped in a striking red and black coat. She's a vibrant young girl with an affectionate heart and a mind eager to learn, thriving on routine, adventure, and companionship. Morning breakfasts at 6:30 AM kick off her day before she heads out for a refreshing walk in the park, where she sniffs every flower and greets the sun, showcasing her elegant shepherd trot. Later, her enthusiasm shines as she plays ball, her tail wagging with uncontainable joy! At approximately 50 pounds, Gigi is set to become a large, strong beauty. She's been diligently working on her obedience training and already knows commands like sit, wait, and leave it. With a high intelligence and desire to please, she thrives on positive reinforcement and consistent guidance, especially when meeting new people and dogs. Gigi is still mastering crate training while managing separation anxiety, so she needs a family that can offer structure, patience, and lots of love. Currently attending doggy day camp, Gigi continues to learn new skills and socialize with other pups. While she can be shy initially, she has had some successful playdates with other dogs. She hasn't been around cats, so her behavior remains a mystery. As for kids, her guardian believes she could thrive with older children who can manage her exuberant energy. Gigi is spayed, house-trained, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She's searching for a loving home with a securely fenced yard and an active family ready for her joyful energy and goofy affectionate quirks. Could your heart and home be the next great adventure for Gigi?
