About Pepper
Pepper was born on March 5th, 2023, making her a thoughtful Pisces—if you believe in that sort of thing. After her previous family had to move, she and her brother, Joel, arrived at the shelter. Pepper quickly adjusted and became a favorite of volunteers and special visitors. She’s playful and affectionate, thriving on belly rubs, games of tug, and tagging along for any outdoor activity where she can burn off her energy. With people, Pepper is quick to warm up, sometimes greeting you with an exuberant jump before relaxing once greeted. She loves attention, snacks, and rope toys, but is polite most of the day and rarely barks. Pepper is house trained, walks well on leash, and knows her basics like "sit." She gets along well with dogs, has been gentle with children (though her excitement means she might not be ideal for toddlers), and has shown friendliness toward cats. While it would be great if she could stay with Joel, they can be adopted separately to give each a faster chance at a permanent home. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
