About Ava
Ava is a large, striking girl with a medium length black and cream coat who landed at the shelter as a stray with two companions. She’s affectionate and genuinely silly, always hungry for human connection. Right now, she’s still adjusting to shelter routines, but one thing is sure—she feels safest with loving people nearby and would thrive in a home where someone is around much of the day. While Ava can get a bit nervous with new dogs in unfamiliar environments, she's shown she can build confidence at her own pace. With respectful dogs and a patient introduction, she can flourish sharing space with canine friends. Ava appears to be house trained and is looking for adopters ready to make her a real part of the family—she deserves an owner who will stick by her for the long haul, making sure she’s properly cared for, well-fed, groomed, exercised, and—most importantly—loved. Her home should offer space for her to move comfortably, and while she’s not ideally suited for tight apartments, she might manage in a roomy condo if you’re around often. For homes with dog-savvy children, Ava may be a good fit with proper introductions. She’ll do best where she can continue building confidence and trust at her own speed. What are you waiting for?
