About Mater
Mater is a 9-10 week old mixed breed puppy with a black and tan coat and a soft, short fur. He’s on the smaller side now, weighing about 9 pounds, but he’ll likely fill out as he grows. Mater is learning how the world works—a little shy at first and easily startled, but his confidence is coming along with time and patient encouragement. Play is still a new idea to him. He’s sweet-natured and discovering how to have fun, though he does have all the usual puppy habits: chewing, mouthing, and razor-sharp baby teeth and nails. His leash skills are a work in progress, but he’s healthy, vaccinated with his first round of shots, and will be microchipped at adoption. Mater needs a home with a safely fenced yard or a large, secure property so he can run and play as he learns the ropes. Puppy experience and patience will go a long way in helping this shy boy become his best self. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
