Fred is a gray, blue, and white male Domestic Short Hair cat about 2 years and 5 months old. He is medium-sized, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. Fred currently lives in Traverse City, MI, where he loves attention and companionship. Having no teeth doesn't slow him down or dampen his enthusiasm for food. He’s gone through quite a bit but is ready for a permanent, loving home.

About Fred

Fred spent some tough days outside until a neighbor gave him shelter and called in help. Turns out, Fred’s all heart—a cat who craves attention, despite an early life on his own. He faced some serious health troubles when he arrived, with painful mouth inflammation that meant all of his teeth had to be removed. He’s bounced back in his foster home—the vet says he’s healthy now, and this hasn’t dulled his appetite or his love for dry food one bit. When Fred first moved indoors, he stayed mostly hidden, quick to dart away at any sign of movement. But over time, he’s started to venture out, inching closer for pets and head rubs. His nerves still show now and then, but they don’t stand a chance against his need for affection. If he sees your hand coming, he’ll pause for a second—then let the head-biscuiting and deep purring begin. Though not sure about being picked up, Fred enjoys being brushed, seeks out gentle touches, and appreciates a peaceful setting. He gets along well with other cats, too. Fred's foster welcomes visits for those who want to meet him in person. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
