About Potter
Potter is a gentle, thoughtful kitten with a soft heart and a sensitive nature. He tends to hang back at first, taking everything in from a comfortable distance before he decides it's safe to come closer. Once he relaxes, his affectionate side comes forward—he loves being cuddled and finds comfort in long, gentle pets. Potter is happiest perched on a cat tree, where he can watch the world unfold, or chasing wand toys across the room. Canned food and Churu treats are a quick way to win his trust and ignite his purr motor. Potter’s story almost turned out very differently. Together with his siblings Hermione and Harry, Potter was caught as part of a TNR program and scheduled to be returned outside. Fortunately, a caring volunteer saw more in him, and The Dancing Cat rescue stepped in at the last moment, sparing him the uncertainty of life outdoors. You may notice Potter’s tipped ear, a sign he’d been through the TNR process and a reminder of how close he came to not having this chance. Instead of returning to the streets, he’s learned that people can be kind and gentle. Potter would thrive being adopted along with one of his siblings or into a home with another young, kitten-friendly companion. He’s still growing into his full personality, and his future family will get to watch that journey unfold every day. All kittens are neutered, FIV/FELV tested, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption. Kittens under 5 months need to go home with a buddy or where there's already a kitten-friendly pet. Potter is currently in a foster home in San Jose, CA. Click apply to start the adoption process.
