About Duchess
Duchess is a 7-month-old Great Pyrenees mix who still has a lot of growing—and learning—ahead. She has a soft, shy personality and approaches new people with caution, but given patience and gentle encouragement, she'll form a deep, loyal bond with her person. Right now, Duchess comes alive around other dogs and really needs a confident canine companion in the home to show her the ropes. Watching her play in the water and romp with dog friends is when you'll see her at her happiest. She’s already showing trademark Pyrenees guardian instincts and would fit a family ready for a protective, devoted companion or perhaps even a future livestock guardian. Duchess needs someone who understands the breed and is committed to training and slow, steady socialization. While she’s still getting the hang of leash walking and house training, she’s proven calm and quiet in her kennel. Duchess will be spayed and vaccinated, including against rabies, before adoption. She’s ready for a patient home that can help her grow into her best self. Ready to meet a gentle pup who’ll repay your trust with lasting loyalty? Click apply to start the adoption process.
