She doesn’t have special needs and fits well into homes where experience with independent, social dogs is valued.
About Korra
Korra is the kind of dog who always seems to be in good spirits, moving through life with that bright, goofy energy only a true optimist can muster. As a large, brown and white Australian Shepherd mix, she brings curiosity to every backyard exploration and seems to see every stranger as a potential friend. Once adopted through the rescue years ago, she recently found herself back with Pyr Paws N Fluffy Tails after her former family could no longer give her the attention she deserves. Despite a recent misadventure that left her with a dislocated hip, Korra has bounced back quickly and is almost cleared for regular activity again. This senior girl has a polite independence—happy to hang out with older kids, enjoys the company of other dogs, but always gravitates toward people. She’s not much for lap time or draping herself across you, but she likes to stay close and be part of the action. As far as adventures go, Korra is happy joining in for walks, events, or just patrolling the house. While she’s playful and energetic, her energy is balanced with a healthy respect for a good nap. She’s fully house trained, sharp with her basic commands, and prouder of her meal reminder routine than most. Cats might be fine for her with the right introduction, and she’s content whether you live in a house with a fenced yard or an apartment as long as she gets her daily walks. Anyone adopting Korra needs to pick her up in person in Kiowa, OK. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.

Questions about Korra
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Australian Shepherd mixes like Korra do best in homes with secure yards or owners who can provide consistent activity and companionship. While a fenced yard is ideal, she can adapt to apartment life with regular exercise and mental stimulation.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Korra's Australian Shepherd mix background generally benefits from having outdoor space to explore, though she is just as happy with daily walks and playtime if a yard isn’t available. A securely fenced area is a plus, but not a must with an engaged owner.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Korra gets along well with kids—especially older, active children who can match her playful side. Australian Shepherd mixes often do well in family environments when properly introduced and supervised.
