About Scarlett
Scarlett has been through more than most dogs ever will. Surrendered at a rural shelter and facing euthanasia, it took the persistence and care of volunteers to give her a second shot. When she arrived, she was in rough shape—barely able to stand, struggling with her health, but with veterinary care and months of patience, she came back strong. Scarlett has an old break in her back leg that’s long healed, but she’ll always have her own unique stride. What stands out most about Scarlett is her gentle spirit. She greets everyone with warmth, loves giving kisses, and enjoys sinking into affection. She’s mellow but enjoys being goofy with dogs she likes. Scarlett requires proper introductions with other dogs, but gets along well with those who respect her space. She isn’t suitable for a home with cats. Staff consistently call her one of the sweetest, most affectionate dogs around—she’s a favorite at the rescue. Fun fact: born September 4, Scarlett is a Virgo, which explains her loyal, calm nature.
