About Rocky
Rocky is a large, young male German Shepherd mix with a ton of personality and a big need for adventure. If you're after a companion who mirrors your energy and never wants to leave your side, Rocky fits the bill. He thrives around other dogs—he hasn't met a dog he didn't like, and his absolute favorite thing is romping around with fellow canines in a yard big enough to stretch those long legs. You'll notice right away that he's high spirited, vibrant, and deeply devoted to his pack. It's been a challenging start for Rocky. Found alone in the orchards as a puppy, he missed out on the early perks of puppyhood. Those tough times left him cautious around strangers, especially men. He'll need an adopter ready to give him a little patience while he learns that people can be dependable and kind. Once you earn his trust, Rocky forms an unbreakable bond and shadows you from room to room. He's made huge strides with his foster family—fully house trained and crate trained—and he finds safety and comfort indoors, close to those he cares about. Rocky is still a little unsure with a leash but is making good progress, especially with a harness. He's smart, eager to please, and looking for someone who will guide him to feel secure. Rocky would do best in an active home with another playful, confident dog and a yard to explore. He's ready for someone to show him what family feels like. Cancer is his sun sign, so expect a loyal, sensitive side beneath the goofy exterior. Give him the love and consistency he missed, and Rocky will pay it back with unwavering loyalty.
