About Krista
Krista is a scruffy, wire-haired terrier mix who’s ready to leave shelter life behind and settle into a real home. At about a year and a half, she still has plenty of young-dog energy and curiosity. Krista gets along well with other dogs and seems eager to make new friends during walks or playtime. If you enjoy long strolls, working on new tricks, and handing out the occasional treat, you’ll have her full attention—and likely her loyal companionship. She can be a bit reserved at first, having landed in the shelter through no fault of her own, but she’s eager to bond with someone who treats her gently. Krista is currently at a South Carolina shelter but is looking for her foster or forever home in the DC area. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and will be working on her crate training. The rescue hasn’t observed her around kids or cats, but they’re happy to help with safe introductions. If you’re looking for a dog to stroll the neighborhood, play chase, and snuggle at home, Krista’s waiting for someone just like you. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
