About Neko

Meet Neko, also known as Sweet Boy. Rescued on a full moon and the coldest night of the year, Neko was found wandering with two neighborhood peacocks. He’s a striking cat, estimated to be between one and two years old, with the look—and mystique—of a Nebelung, which fittingly means "creature of the mist." Neko has a gentle, slow-to-trust spirit. Once comfortable, he becomes deeply affectionate. He thrives in a stable, loving home with other animals, and he’s had nothing but positive interactions with fellow cats and even a senior pit bull. While reserved at first, Neko eventually opens up, leaning in for pets like he’s trying to meld with you. He is easy to love—a little silly, loyal, and always nearby, keen to be reminded he’s a good boy. His perfect black heart-shaped nose and his habit of booping your forehead make him memorable. Give him a window seat, a paper ball, an oldies station, or a Churu treat, and he’s happy. Weekly brushings are much appreciated. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
