About Yuma
Meet Yuma, a spirited 4-6 month old husky mix who’s just starting to discover the fun and comfort that come with having a family. She’s had a tough, isolated start to life, but is already making up for lost time at her kennel—chasing after toys, splashing in water, and playing with other dogs. Yuma gravitates to bigger, playful pups and thrives in their company. She’s highly food motivated and her curiosity keeps her eager to try new things, even if she’s still a little cautious around people. Yuma hasn’t experienced much human affection, so she’s working on trusting touch and attention. Her progress is steady, but she’ll need a patient adopter with some experience helping dogs who’ve faced trauma. She genuinely loves water, so an adopter who enjoys boating or spending time by rivers or lakes would be a great fit. A secure, fenced yard is important for her safety, and she must have at least one playful canine companion in the home. Yuma isn’t suited for homes with young kids, but older, dog-savvy children could work. Cat compatibility is still unknown. If you’re up for adventures and have the heart and experience she needs, Yuma might just be your perfect match. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
