About Spicy
Spicy is a small adult Chihuahua who packs a lot of personality into his compact frame. After coming from a hoarding situation, Spicy is searching for a home that truly understands him and will embrace his quirks. He has a bold spirit and, true to his name, carries himself with confident independence. Spicy prefers men and tends to take his time—sometimes months—to warm up to women. Patience, steady routines, and treats are key to winning him over. He has clear preferences: Spicy likes firm, confident touch, not gentle petting, and will seek out affection on his own terms. He communicates when he wants to be picked up or cuddled, and will quickly hop off when he’s had enough. He responds well to direction, sleeps peacefully in his kennel, and finds comfort in his own space. Spicy gets along with cats and calm, respectful dogs. He believes he’s the biggest guy in the house but generally coexists well with laid-back canine companions. While Spicy is house trained, he may still mark indoors if not supervised. Treats are his love language, and he takes them politely. Given his sensitivities and boundaries, a home without small children suits him best. Adopters should be ready for a one-of-a-kind dog who’s both independent and loyal—someone who will patiently let Spicy set the pace. For the right family, he’ll be an endlessly entertaining and devoted companion. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
