About Athena

Athena is a 3-4 year old Rottweiler who spent her early years as a breeder dog in rural Mississippi. After being rescued with a litter of puppies—who have all found homes—she’s now patiently waiting for someone to give her a chance at life as a loved companion. Athena is deeply devoted, meeting everyone with wagging tail, big grins, and enthusiastic kisses. She’ll happily settle onto any lap that’s offered to her. Athena gets along well with respectful dogs but doesn’t do well with cats. She’s gentle with children and thrives in a friendly household. Currently about 65 pounds, she’s spayed, vaccinated, and nearly finished with her heartworm treatment. Athena is house trained and generally well-mannered. She is still in Mississippi and needs a committed foster or foster-to-adopt home before she can travel north to Vermont. Ready to bring her home? Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
