About Penny

Penny is an American Pit Bull Terrier mix who values human company above all else, always ready to claim a place next to you on the couch. At about 5 years old, she’s no rookie to family life—and her love of people shines through in every tail wag. Penny weighs around 70 lbs and still has a few pounds to lose, so regular outings and walks would do her good. She’s crate trained (in a roomy, extra-large crate) and has a fondness for lazy afternoons after a stroll. Penny does well with other dogs, having spent time in playgroups with large males and smaller dogs, but she’s mainly focused on her humans. She’s also lived with cats but tends to just ignore them if people are around. With children, she’s best matched with older kids, simply because of her size and energy. Penny would be happiest as the center of attention in a home where she’s treated as part of the family and gets plenty of affection and time together. If you’re after a loyal sidekick who’s part athlete, part couch potato, Penny is your girl. Your new best friend is just one click away.
