About Rex
Rex is a lively, good-looking Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix who’s been waiting patiently in foster care for a real sense of belonging. He’s a medium-sized, short-coated, neutered male with a tricolor mix of brown, black, and white. At 55 pounds, he’s athletic, loves to run, and craves both playtime and real family inclusion. Beyond his big energy, Rex has a few endearing routines, like his signature hug right before meals—a special thank-you he invented himself. He’s fully vaccinated, potty-trained, and kennel-trained. Rex checks all the obedience boxes and politely uses the off command to calm down when things get too exciting. He is dog selective but coexists just fine with cats, and he loves to be around kids. Playful and treat-motivated, Rex is always up for chasing a squeaky toy or chasing a ball in the yard. He’s done well in his foster environment, has decent manners, and is waiting for a family that’ll keep him close (not left out back) and make him part of daily life. If you’re looking for an affectionate, loyal, and entertaining dog with a huge heart, Rex might just be your guy. Your new best friend is just one click away.
