About Monty
Monty is a happy-go-lucky one-year-old Pointer/Mountain Cur mix with a big, sweet smile and plenty of heart. He weighs in at 44 pounds and brings energy and affection in equal measure. Monty is known for his friendly nature—he's eager to please and craves time with his people. Whether it's soaking up pets, enjoying a brushing, or wagging through a towel-dry after rainy play, he's always present for attention. Monty picks up on training quickly and already knows the basics: sit, down, wait, off, and come. He's fully housetrained and loves using a dog door. Crate time is second nature for Monty, as he sleeps soundly and often hangs out in his open crate during the day. Monty gets along well with other dogs, showing his playful side chasing balls and playing tug. He's easy on the leash during walks and hops into the car for rides without fuss. At mealtime, he’s polite and calm even in the company of other dogs. Monty would do best with an active person or family willing to continue his training and provide plenty of love. A fenced yard and a canine playmate would suit him well, but most importantly, he wants someone to bond with. Monty is neutered, vaccinated, and ready to bring loyalty, intelligence, and joy to his new home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
