About Malachite
Malachite is a two-and-a-half-month-old Lab/German Shepherd mix who already weighs in at 18 pounds. Born through an outreach program to reduce pet overpopulation, he’s had a bright start and is ready for a future with a loving family. Malachite is outgoing and social—a puppy who wants to be involved in the action, meet new people, and be part of your daily routine. His playful curiosity makes every day interesting. Like all puppies, he’s learning what’s expected, so expect the usual mouthy exploring, some jumping, and a need for continued potty training. Consistent structure and positive reinforcement will help him thrive. Since Malachite is already a big pup and destined to grow, early training and good habits are especially important to guide him into adulthood. Enrolling in puppy classes and giving lots of opportunities for socialization will help him develop confidence and manners. He’s looking for a family who wants a loyal, loving companion and is prepared to put in the time for exercise and learning. In return, Malachite promises plenty of good energy, affection, and laughs.
