About Zest
Zest is a small husky/shepherd mix with a short, apricot-beige coat and a personality that lives up to his name. Found on the street with his family, he bounced between places before landing somewhere safe, and now he's looking for a true home. He's a puppy through and through—cuddly, independent, playful, and always up for a scratch or a hug. Zest gets along well with other dogs and children, and the current thought is that he'd probably roll with cats too, given his friendly streak. He’s pee pad trained but not yet crate or leash trained, so anyone adopting him should expect to do the basics and help build his confidence. For all his energy and playful antics, Zest does come with some nerves. He barks and scratches when left alone, usually within minutes, so he’ll need a patient owner who works to help him settle and gradually build comfort with alone time. This is a pup who craves companionship—anyone with a dog buddy or a yard will score bonus points. Mostly, he wants attention and love. Zest has plenty to learn, but he’ll make a loyal, goofy shadow for the right person willing to teach him. Let's make it official, apply to adopt!
