About Cody.

Cody is a purebred black and tan Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, about 27 lbs with a medium coat. He’s happy, friendly, and social, getting along well with cats, kids, and other dogs. He spent his early life as a farm companion, so he’s used to lots of activity and open spaces, but he adapts quickly to just following his people around. Right now, he’s crate trained, quiet when crated, and generally laid-back. He knows how to sit—especially when he feels like it—and has good leash manners. Cody is not yet house trained, so you’ll need a plan for setting him up for success there. Since coming in, he’s had some thinning hair and a couple of scrapes from his time running loose on the farm, but everything’s healing well and hair is already growing back. Cody has had thorough vet care: he’s neutered, vaccinated (including rabies and distemper/parvo), on heartworm prevention, and recently had his teeth cleaned. Any meds he needs at adoption, including antibiotics for his healing incision, will go home with him. He’s ready for his new home and will arrive with all his vet records. Transport to Maumee is available every other Wednesday if needed. If you’re seeking a gentle, cheerful companion with a fresh start ahead of him, Cody is available in Antwerp, OH. This could be the start of something paw-some.
