About Rakki
Rakki’s name means lucky in Japanese, and the name fits—he got a second chance when someone trapped him during freezing temperatures and brought him in to be scanned for a microchip. He nearly ended up back outside but was taken in so he wouldn’t have to face the cold again. Rakki is as sweet as they come. When you enter the room, he does an endearing flop, showing off his playful side. Though a bit shy at first, he’s easily picked up and warms up quickly. He’s especially fond of his roommate, Lizzie, grooming her and sharing calm companionship. Lizzie tends to be the shyer of the pair, but she opens up for pets and has a soft voice. These two are close and would thrive as a pair in a quiet, patient home. Rakki gets along well with other cats and also does fine with dogs, making him quite adaptable. He is only available to adopters in the St. Louis metro area to ensure the best fit. Rakki was born January 15, so he’s a practical and loyal Capricorn. Ready to fall in love?
