Spaz
AvailableSpaz is a small, spayed female domestic short hair cat living in Ballwin, MO. She is four years and five months old, fully house trained, and has spent time with other cats in her foster home. Spaz has been spayed as part of her veterinary care.
About Spaz
Spaz arrived at the rescue with her brother Taz after growing up feral, discovered living in a sewer. Over two years later, she remains a petite, skittish adult who keeps her distance from people. Still, Spaz surprises her fosters by occasionally hopping into a lap for a brief round of attention before darting away. She’s bonded to male cats—playful and social with them, often sharing beds and late-night zoomies around the house. Chasing toys is high on her list, and she’s known to rearrange a room sprinting after her favorites. Spaz startles easily and doesn’t allow herself to be picked up or caught, but she shows her comfort through curiosity and quiet companionship. She eats well, especially in the evenings and early mornings. Spaz does best in a cat-savvy, patient, adult-only household with friendly resident cats. She’s available for adoption only in the St. Louis metro area. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Domestic short hair cats like Spaz do not need outdoor space; in fact, they do best as indoor cats where they are protected from harm and can form bonds with their trusted people and feline friends.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Spaz's breed can do well with gentle, older children, but Spaz herself is not comfortable around kids, so she is best suited for an adult-only home.
