Flapjack
AvailableFlapjack is a senior, small Australian Shepherd living in Toledo, OH. He is house trained, neutered, and up-to-date on his vaccinations. After spending much of his life as a breeder's stud, he’s finally receiving the comfort and care he deserves.
About Flapjack
Flapjack has spent most of his life working as a breeding stud, only to be cast aside once he grew older. His early days left him with some tough memories, including nails that grew too long and teeth that needed immediate care, but he's finally received the deep grooming and dental help he needed. Now, Flapjack is comfortable, pain-free, and ready to appreciate the quiet life. He’s low-key and happiest stretched out on a sofa or nestled into a strange corner, always up for a nap beside his human. Belly rubs and gentle scritches are top of his list. While Flapjack takes time to let his guard down with new people, once trust is earned, he’ll lean in close and soak up your affection. He even enjoys riding along in a tote bag when you’re on the move. If you’re looking for a soft, quirky companion to spend calm days together, Flapjack could fit right in. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?

Questions about Flapjack
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Flapjack, being an Australian Shepherd, typically does best in a home where he can feel secure and settled. Although the breed enjoys outdoor time, Flapjack is likely happiest in a peaceful, relaxed indoor environment considering his age and background.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Australian Shepherds are known for loving wide open spaces due to their herding roots. However, Flapjack, as a senior, probably just enjoys gentle strolls and a quiet backyard rather than constant exercise.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Australian Shepherds are usually good with kids, but given Flapjack's history and slower pace, he may prefer calmer households without very active children.
