Dozer
AvailableDozer is a 10-month-old male Boxer/mixed breed with a brindle coat and a solid medium build, based in Morrisville, VT. He's neutered and vaccinations are up to date. His personality is marked by playfulness and confidence, thanks to that unmistakable puppy energy shining through his lanky frame.
About Dozer
Dozer landed at NCAL not long ago, and staff are starting to see what he's all about. Picture an excitable, oversized puppy stuffed into a growing Boxer mix frame—that's Dozer. He's packed with energy and always ready to play, sometimes a bit too eager to quit when others have had enough. His zest for the world makes him fearless and adventurous, but he could use more guidance learning boundaries with his playmates. While living in foster care, Dozer shared space with dogs of all sizes and ages—no issues there. He was also pretty gentle and respectful with a resident cat, content to keep his distance after a curious introduction. Because of his size and bounciness, a home with older kids or adults is best—little ones might get swept off their feet. After a day full of activity, he's just as keen for a snuggle as he is for exploration. By the way, Dozer was born July 21st, so he’s a Cancer—no surprise he loves getting close to his people. He's neutered, vaccinated, and comes microchipped. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.

Questions about Dozer
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Boxer/mixed breed dogs like Dozer thrive in active households where they get regular exercise and attention. They adjust best to homes with room to play and people who enjoy engaging with them.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Dozer will do best in a home with a secure yard or regular access to outdoor spaces. Boxer mixes burn off energy quickly and need room to romp and explore.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Dozer, like most Boxer/mixed breeds, loves being around kids, but his exuberance and size make him a better fit for families with older children. He may unintentionally knock over small kids when excited.
