About Moby

Moby is a 3-year-old Pointer/Staffordshire mix in Hudson, NY, weighing around 50 lbs. He’s always ready to give and receive affection—nothing makes him happier than connecting with his people, especially the women on staff. When his favorite humans are nearby, he lets out soft, endearing whale-like sounds until he’s noticed. Moby’s striking white coat with a tan face and signature white nose stripe catches attention, but it’s his warm brown eyes and sweet personality that win people over. He’s strong and agile, thrives on playtime with dog friends, but will settle right in for a calm cuddle. Moby is house trained and knows his ‘sit’ command well. He walks nicely on leash. He can get very excited and jumpy when greeting people, and sometimes gets mouthy in his enthusiasm. He’s more anxious around new men, but opens up with patience. Moby had a tough start—malnourished and living cramped in a car—but since arriving at Hudson Paws, he’s become healthy and ready for a fresh start. He’ll do best with someone who’s able to offer lots of love and continues to work with him. Moby gets along with other dogs but should always be introduced properly. He’s good with teens and up. Fun fact: Born on May 24, Moby is a Gemini—no wonder he’s both playful and affectionate! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
