About Calvin
Calvin is a 4-6 month old lab/husky mix who got off to a rough start in life but is steadily coming out of his shell in foster care. His days are now much brighter—he shares his foster home with a great dane, a chihuahua, and two cats, giving him a full social circle to practice being a dog. Calvin gravitates towards quiet moments, prefers exploring at his own pace, and finds a lot of comfort in cozy beds and blankets. He’s still working through some natural fear of human affection, but every week brings more trust as he learns good things happen around people. He’s still a puppy at heart—curious, snack-driven, and happy to play with toys or cool off in a kiddie pool. Calvin especially loves having another dog around; he takes cues from his canine buddies and perks up when they're near. Potty training and car rides are new for him, but he's putting in the effort. A home with a fenced yard suits him best, where he can do zoomies and build confidence safely. Calvin needs a patient adopter who understands dogs with a tough background. At least one other playful dog in the house is required, and while he’s great with cats, young children are not the right match—older kids are fine.
