About Ghost
Ghost didn’t end up in rescue because of anything he did wrong—he’s here because people let him down. He spent too much time alone outside and barked, hoping for attention, and that’s when his former people gave up on him. Once he entered rescue, Ghost needed ACL surgery, but he’s bounced back strong. He’s shown a lot of grit and determination as he’s healed. Personality-wise, Ghost is sharp and a bit of an authority figure, preferring order over chaos. He learns routines quickly and sticks to them, not looking for snacks for every trick but lighting up when he gets a squeaky toy. He’ll show off his own little concert when he’s feeling settled and comfortable. Ghost forms deep bonds, sticking close to someone he trusts. He’ll shadow you, find his spot on the couch, and is happy to curl up by your feet all night. He isn’t fond of being left alone for long stretches, so he does best in a home without shared walls like apartments or condos. He could be a solo dog or share space with another laid-back, calm dog. Mostly he needs someone who will offer structure, follow-through, and patience. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
