About Alaska
Alaska came to the rescue after her owner was hospitalized, leaving her alone in their apartment for two weeks. Sheās a senior calico, with paperwork showing she's 10 years old, though her vet thinks she might be even older. Alaska has hyperthyroidism and needs medication twice daily, but because she has no teeth, giving her pills is easy. Life hasnāt shaken her gentle, loving spirit. Although almost entirely deaf, sheāll surprise you with her loud meows. She wants your attentionāpet her, and she will reward you with constant purrs and affectionate licks. Alaska does best being the center of her personās world and will softly wake you up just to spend more time together. Despite her age, sheās still energetic when thereās a teaser toy and loves basking in a sunny spot by the window. Alaska prefers to keep her distance from most other cats, sometimes vocalizing her disapproval if they intrude, though she could adapt to a mellow feline friend with proper introductions. Her ideal home would be quiet, with someone who wants a loyal, interactive senior companion. As a Gemini (born June 3), Alaska brings both playfulness and affection in equal measure. Your new best friend is just one click away.
