Libby
AvailableLibby is a brindle, small mixed-breed Dachshund with a short coat, currently in Potomac, MD. She is a young, spayed female who is house trained, vaccinated, and very affectionate. Having overcome a tough past, Libby is thriving with love and care.
About Libby
Libby had a rough start before rescue. She spent her early days neglected—kept in and tied to a bathtub—her coat patchy and uneven as if cut by an unsupervised child. But despite that, she's remained loving and gentle, always seeking out company. Libby feels most at ease with her adult foster family and can handle the chaos of kids after acclimating, though she prefers a calmer pace. She tends to be shy at first with new faces, but once she decides you're safe, she bonds quickly. She enjoys playing with toys as much as she loves curling up for a cuddle. Leash walks are a breeze for her; she'll pad along beside you and reach up gently for a bit of reassurance now and then. House training is almost mastered—she does great on schedule, with accidents now a rare thing. Nighttime in the crate suits her fine, but she's less thrilled if left alone during the day since she just wants to be with her people. Libby would do best with someone looking for a loyal, playful "short stack" whose main agenda is to become their closest friend. She's waiting in Potomac, MD for someone ready for that kind of devotion. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
