About Walt
Walt is a gentle, laid-back Belgian Shepherd/Malinois mix searching for a family that can give him steady affection and a comfortable home base. He’s fully house trained, crate trained, and polite in the house, thriving with structure but rarely demanding attention. Walt tends to loaf around most of the day—his style is more cat than typical dog. He naps, keeps to quiet spots, and prefers to hang around his people without fuss. Walt does well at dog parks with big dogs, running and socializing calmly, but hasn't had much exposure to cats or small dogs and is tentative around new babies. He’s content to greet adult visitors joyfully. Walt knows a few tricks like sit and hand shake, reliably responding when treats are involved, and he stays close by on leash walks. This dog is current on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. Walt does deal with usual Texas seasonal allergies but otherwise asks for very little. If an easygoing, affectionate buddy fits your life, Walt brings steadiness and warmth. Click apply to start the adoption process. This pet is participating in the Dallas Pets Alive rehoming program.
