About Luna

Luna is a 12-year-old hospice foster who’s finding calm in her golden years. Mobility is a challenge—she moves slowly, especially with stairs, but nothing ignites her spirit like the sight of a leash. Deaf but smart, Luna responds to hand signals for COME, SIT, and LEAVE IT. She was cautious and nervous at first, hesitant to trust, but patience changed everything; she now greets her foster at the door, easily asks for affection, and soaks up a good ear scratch. Building a bond took a few weeks, but she shows her loyalty now in quieter ways. Out on walks, her husky strength comes through, and she’s learning not to pull, but it’s slow and steady progress. She feels secure where she is and has clearly found some peace for this last chapter. Every animal deserves comfort and kindness at the end, and Luna’s learning what that means.
