About Bells
Bells is an 8-month-old spayed female domestic short hair who came to the shelter after a rough start outside. She was picked up as a stray after a dog attack left her with a swollen right front leg and minor wounds, but despite this trauma, Bells greets every visitor with curiosity and warmth. Even at her first exam, staff noticed how alert and interactive she was, and today, she’s quick to reach out for affection. Expect kneading paws and head rubs once she settles in—she loves chin and ear scratches and quickly turns into a biscuit-making machine if she trusts you. Bells does have a heart murmur, which will need careful monitoring, but she isn’t letting that slow her down. Her recovery from her leg injury is ongoing, though no fractures were found, and shelter staff have been giving her pain relief and antibiotics. Bells started out a bit head-shy but quickly leaned in for attention, showing just how much she appreciates gentle company. If you’re looking for a sweet, resilient young cat who's experienced a tough beginning and is hoping for a patient and loving home in Philadelphia, Bells might be the companion you’ve been waiting for.
