About Roscoe

Roscoe made it out of a house fire that claimed the lives of his owner and her son, losing not only his home but the family who loved him. He’s a long-haired tuxedo cat—gentle, striking, and steady with other cats, kids, and dogs alike. In the chaos, Roscoe’s tail was singed. He went missing for weeks, only to return and hide among the remnants of the life he once knew. Family members finally found him sheltering beneath the ashes, in the familiar spot of his former bedroom. He suffered significant injuries to his tail, requiring several vet visits and, ultimately, an amputation to remove the damaged tissue. Through it all, Roscoe has remained loving and open to connection. His previous caretaker was deeply involved in animal rescue; adopting Roscoe is a meaningful way to carry on her spirit. He’s ready to start over in a home that can offer him what was so harshly taken away. Click apply to start the adoption process.
