About Bongo
Bongo, or as he is known in select circles, His Royal Fluffiness, prefers staff to owners. He’s recruiting for a full-time aide who abides by very specific criteria: provide ample snacks, cater to his private dining habits, and admire him from a respectful distance. At 7, this Pomeranian mix has no interest in behaving like your everyday dog—he is, in spirit, a cat marooned in a tiny dog’s body. Bongo values calm surroundings, personal space, and a steady routine. He’ll never beg for attention or mob you with kisses. Instead, he’ll quietly assess your worth, and, if you pass muster, favor you with affection on his own terms. His past was rough, which has shaped his cautious attitude. Bongo is learning that not every hand is something to fear and that being on leash doesn’t have to be stressful. He’s happiest in an adult-only home, ideally with someone who’s around most of the time and understands that trust isn’t immediate—it’s earned slowly. Bongo gravitates toward men but will bond deeply if his person gives him space and understanding. For the right person, he’ll show that he's more than just a timid shelter dog—he’s an intelligent, loyal companion with plenty of heart hiding beneath that fancy fluff. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
