About Louie

Louie is a 5-and-a-half-year-old husky/terrier mix with a gentle heart and a resilient spirit. At the moment, he's about 55 pounds—underweight for his frame—but he's making steady progress toward a healthier weight with lots of care. Louie originally left the rescue as a playful puppy, but life threw some curveballs and brought him back through no fault of his own. He’s been understandably stressed, yet has never lost his calm, sweet demeanor. Louie is the type who lights up for yard time, especially alongside his canine friends; he’s settled in well and gets along with other large dogs. Deworming was needed upon his return, but otherwise, Louie is healthy and eager for a new start. While it isn’t known if he’s fully house trained, Louie’s overall behavior around people and dogs shows he’s ready to thrive in a steady, loving environment. Adopters must be at least 21 and live within an hour of Fort Worth, TX. If you want to help a loyal soul rebuild his confidence, Louie is ready for a new chapter. Ready to meet your new best friend?
