About Poppy
Poppy is a three-month-old mixed breed with a huge heart and personality to match. At 23 pounds already, she's on track to be a large dog, but that hasn’t dimmed her belief that she’s the ultimate lap dog. She’ll crawl into any available lap the minute playtime winds down. Poppy has never met a stranger—she’s a happy, adventurous soul who charges into new experiences with honest enthusiasm. Whether she’s discovering new corners, making friends, or dodging after a tennis ball, she’s upbeat and confident. Her curiosity and friendliness make her fit right in just about anywhere, and every guest is given the VIP treatment. She’s a balanced puppy with medium energy, thrilled to play and explore, then just as content napping beside her favorite people. Poppy’s fond of chew toys and needs lots to gnaw on as she navigates the joys (and trials) of teething. Nighttime is easy: she’s crate trained and sleeps peacefully in her kennel. A little grumble when crated is standard, but she settles down in minutes. She’s had no accidents overnight and is doing well with housebreaking, though supervision and a steady routine are still needed as she sharpens her skills. Poppy gets along great with dogs, and would love a canine companion, though it’s not a must. She also does well with children, but families with tiny toddlers should know she’s a playful puppy and could accidentally topple a little one in her excitement. She’ll thrive in a home ready to keep up her puppy training, offer regular play and adventure, and provide a loving routine. A fenced yard is a plus, but not a necessity. Most important to her, though, is finding a family. If you want a snuggly, energetic sidekick who grows into both an adventure buddy and a nap partner, Poppy’s your girl.
