About Everest

Everest is a husky/shepherd mix with a big spirit and a gentle presence. She came from the Red Lake Reservation, where she did everything possible to protect her puppies in the brutal Minnesota winter. Everest found shelter under a porch and refused to leave her pups, guarding them even when she wouldn’t come inside herself. Her loyalty and devotion never wavered. Her puppies survived and thrived because of her care. Now, with her mothering duties behind her, Everest deserves her own safe, warm home. She is thoughtful, resilient, and deeply devoted. Everest is learning to trust and settling into home life after her time fending for her family. She gets along well with other dogs, cats, and is gentle with children. A patient, kind adopter will help her blossom even more. Everest is looking for a quiet, loving place to rest and enjoy being the center of someone’s life. Ready to meet your new best friend?
